Bridesmaid dress

My bridesmaid dress for Amanda's wedding finally arrived last week. I was starting to worry that it wouldn't arrive on time because when I called earlier this month they said to call back at the end of the month because they were backed up on orders for Alfred Angelo. Luckily, it arrived in time for alterations.
When you buy a dress, typically you want a larger size because you can always bring a dress in, but you can't always let it out. So I ordered a larger size than I usually wear because the lady at the store said I should, but now that I have it in front of me, I'm definitely going to have alter it. I should have listened to my own intuition because I had a gut feeling that ordering a dress much larger than the size I typically wear in dresses would probably end up being way too big. Well, with this dress I can't exactly hold it up (if you know what I mean). I hope the alterations won't end up costing more than the dress. :(

Now I just need to find a trustworthy seamstress to alter it for me.

Maybe if I can find someone else to magically melt away some pounds too, that'd be great. :)
